2022 All Star Meet Information
All Team Reps are expected to check their team’s entry forms and verify you are following the rules set forth in the bylaws. Don’t make assumptions about how to interpret a rule. If in doubt, ask ahead of time. Contact the Greater Charlotte Swim League Board at [email protected]
Seeding: All events will be Timed Finals and seeded by time (not by lane assignment).
Alternates:
- It is highly recommended to list alternate swimmers. No swimmer will be allowed to swim once the psyche sheet is emailed to the teams, unless they have been listed as an alternate. Remember, listing a swimmer as an alternate counts as an entry.
- Coaches will enter relay teams at the same time all other entries are submitted. You may list 4 swimmers per relay and up to 4 alternates.
- For eligibility and entry rules, see 2022 GCSL Bylaws
- GCSL will provide: clipboards, ribbons/medal containers, stop watches and the meet referee.
At The Meet:
- Coaches and Team Reps need to check in at the GCSL table in the hospitality room. Problems with the heat sheet need to be addressed there, with league officials. To make changes, the swimmer must be listed on the entry form.ALL Changes must be completed 30 minutes prior to the meet start time.
- Team Reps should turn in their Sportsmanship Award vote and any extra ribbons left over from the dual meets (please, include a count of the ribbons you are returning – with the team name, division).
- Team Reps should return Dual Meet and All-Star Meet Trophies from the prior year to the respective Division’s All-Star Meet.
- All Volunteers need to sign in at the league table.
- Clerk of Course and Seating Areas: All 8 & Under and 9-10 swimmers will report to the Clerk of Course before proceeding to the blocks. 11 & Over swimmers should report to the area behind the blocks directly for their event.
- Teams/swimmersseating area: will sit with their team in a designated area on deck. Two (2) team parents may be assigned to assist your team’s swimmers as parents will not be allowed on deck. The on-deck Team Parents must check in at the GCSL table in the Hospitality room and be signed up through the volunteer link in SwimTopia.
- Parents/Family of swimmers will sit in the bleacher section overlooking the competition pool. The front of this area is glass and will be kept clear of people so viewing is not obstructed. Parents may bring chairs outside the facility; however, no direct view is available from outside. NO chairs or stadium seats are allowed in the bleacher section.
- Food/Drink/All Star T-shirts will be available for purchase. Come hungry!!! There will be food trucks in the front at all sessions, snow cones, lunch and dinner trucks, etc. There will be a cash only concessions table in the lobby. Absolutely no glass containers of any kind are allowed. Each team must clean up after themselves.
