Hello Swim Families!

This Saturday, Feb. 10, we will have our first away swim meet at JCC located at:
5007 Providence Road
Charlotte, NC 28226

This is a unique pool in that it is an outdoor pool with a giant inflatable “bubble” over the top to make it an indoor pool during the winter. There is not a lot of room inside and it will be very tight. They may have capacity limits and restrictions, which I will email to you if this is the case.

🦈You will need to bring your own chairs.

🦈It gets very wet inside/on the pool deck so the children will need EXTRA towels. I usually send mine with at least 3.

🦈 This meet begins at 4:00pm and our swimmers need to be there at 3:15pm. Please allow plenty of travel time so we don’t have any tardies.

🦈 You can expect this meet to be between 3-4 hours.

🦈 This is not a drop off event. Parents are not to leave the premises while their swimmer is participating in the meet.

🦈 Send your swimmer with snacks and even a “bagged lunch” because this facility does NOT have a concession stand. The kids will be hungry with this meet being during dinner time.

🦈 Volunteer Job signups are open. This is the best way you will have a view of your swimmer, and a guaranteed spot to watch the meet.

🦈 Make sure your swimmer wears their new purple team shirt to the meet!

🦈 When the events are posted in the app, please go over with your swimmer which events they will be swimming so they are prepared. The Clerk of Course Team will be calling swimmers and lining them up, but it is important that the children know what they are swimming ahead of time.

🦈 Please let me know immediately if your swimmer will not be attending the meet.
