Good Evening, Tiger Sharks families --

I hope this finds you all well, and that you all had a wonderful holiday season! It's hard to believe that it is already 2026! With the new year here and the holidays officially behind us, we are quickly approaching the busy season of Winter Swim Team. Please see below for a couple of quick updates:

Swim practices will resume tomorrow, Monday 1/05, with our normal schedule.

I was able to pick up a large order of swim suits just prior to the holidays. We will be giving these out during practice times this week!

Friendly reminder we will be holding our Parent Meetings for this season on Tuesday 1/06 from 4:30-5:30 pm, and on Wednesday 1/07 from 5:30-6:15 pm, led by myself and Shayna Downey, our Branch Director here at the Complex YMCA. In these meetings we will go over some of the finer details for swim meets, procedures, what to expect, etc. It is very important that at least one parent from each family attend one of these meetings to ensure everyone has full details for the remainder of the season.

I know Coach Harry's departure from this season was quite unexpected for everyone. Rest assured that Coach Harry is on the road to recovery and is getting his rest and remains in good spirits, even cracking his usual jokes as always! I'd like to ask that you please continue to respect his privacy during this time and refrain from reaching out to him during this time as he continues to recover. I can confidently say that I know he has felt all of your love and prayers over the last couple of weeks and is truly appreciative of you all. While he may not be on deck, please know he is still supporting our coaching staff from behind the scenes and will cheer our team on from afar!

With that being said, I am excited to be stepping into this new role in Harry's place and look forward to an incredible rest of the season ahead. I appreciate all of your support, grace, and trust in myself and the rest of our coaching staff in advance. I have very big shoes to fill, but I will do my best to lead this team with as much passion and dedication as Harry has for all these years!
